To enlist in the Military Service, all Brazilian male citizens must attend in person at the Consulate-General during the first semester of the year they complete 18 years of age. To receive a Military Enlistment Certificate (CAM), the candidate must present the following documents:
- Brazilian birth certificate or proof of naturalization;
- passport or ID card;
- 3 photos 3x4cm.
DRAFT ADJOURNMENT
All Brazilians males between 18 and 45 years of age living abroad must attend in person at the Consulate-General, preferably in the first quarter of each year, to obtain adjournment of draft. The following documents are required:
- Military Enlistment Certificate (CAM).
- Valid passport.
Residents in Brisbane
Brazilian males between the ages of 18 and 45 years of age who are residents abroad must present themselves annually to the Consulate General to submit their Military Certificates for an annual adjournment.
Residents in the Brisbane vicinity may request this service from the Honorary Consulate. The interested party must make an appointment to present themselves to the Honorary Consul, Dr Sallyanne ATKINSON AO.

Please present yourself with the following documents:
a) original valid Brazilian identification document (ID Card or passport)
b) original Military Enlistment Certificate
c) two pre-paid secure envelopes. One envelope must be addressed to the Consulate General in Sydney (L17, 31 Market Street, Sydney, NSW, 2000) and the other self-addressed, for the return of your documents.

Candidates enlisted or drafted by the Consulate-General must present themselves to the military authorities in Brazil within 30 days of their return to the country.
