- Travel Authorization for Minors
Authorization to travel must be given by both parents or legal guardians to minors, under 18 years of age, who travel to and in Brazil and then returns abroad, not accompanied by both or one of their parents or legal guardians.
A signed form is required - signed in front of consular official , in the case of Brazilian nationals presenting themselves in person at the Consulate General or in front of a Notary Public (Justice of the Peace not accepted).
Parents of other nationalities must sign in front of a Notary Public. In the case that the minor travels only accompanied by one of the parents or legal guardians, the authorization must be given by the parent or guardian that is not travelling.
