POWER OF ATTORNEY

The NSW, QLD and NT are on the Consulate General jurisdiction.
If you reside in VIC, TAS, SA, WA, ACT please log onto the Embassy website: www.brazil.org.au for this service.

Powers of Attorney effective in Brazil can be prepared by the Consulate-General for Brazilians or for foreigners living in Brazil as permanent residents. The grantor(s) must attend in person at the Consulate-General to complete the appropriate form and present the following documents:

  • Valid passport or Brazilian ID card; and
  • Income tax card (CIC).
The following information about the grantee is also necessary:
  • Brazilian ID card number, date and place of issueing;
  • Income tax card (CIC) number;
  • Full name, address, civil status and profession.

Terms, conditions and purpose for the Power of Attorney must be supplied by the grantor. If necessary, guideline samples may be provided by the Consulate-General.

Consular fees

Consular fees may vary according to the purposes of the Powers of Attorney. For further information, contact the Consulate-General - consulado@brazilsydney.org.

IMPORTANT

Consular fees: Effective from 1 st March 2007, Australia Post Money Orders will be the sole accepted form of payment for consular services. The Australian Post Money Order must be on the name of the Consulate-General of Brazil.

Deposit into the Consulate General’s bank account will NOT be accepted.
